She is a graduate of Hoke County High School in Raeford, North Carolina. She received an Associates in Cosmetology from Sandhills Community College and worked as a Cosmetologist for twelve years. Ms. Monroe is a church elder and adult Sunday School teacher. She is very active in her church in other offices as well. One of Ms. Monroe’s greatest joys is visiting rest homes and sharing the joy of the Lord with the residents. Ms. Monroe affirms that she got her “green thumb” from her mother; therefore, she enjoys making living floral baskets and delivering them to the elderly, the sick, and the home-bound. Ms. Monroe thrives on bringing happiness to the downcast, the forgotten, the underdog, the down-trodden, and the hopeless.

Ms. Monroe is the mother of four sons and therefore an avid sports fan and cook. One specialty bakery item that everyone loves is her Amish bread which she bakes regularly and distributes mainly at Christmastime each year to family, friends, and the sick and shut-in. Ms. Monroe is also the proud grandmother of three “grandsugars,” AJ, Taliyah, and Robert III.

Ms. Monroe is committed to teaching the gospel and lifting up and encouraging people in a time such as this.
